Booking online was SO easy, and the check in process just as smooth. I was able to get a courtesy car and be on my way within 8 minutes of arriving. I received text updates about the status of my vehicle as they worked and when it was ready for pickup. They even gave it a wash and vacuum!

Both Ben & Autumn were both professional and friendly. They provided additional info about recommended services but I felt no pressure to do the extra work than what I had come in for originally. Will be returning!

As someone who has never had a good experience dealing with auto shops with doing any maintenance on my car, I genuinely feel that they don’t push unnecessary repairs/maintenance on me (as this has been a huge issue for me in the past with other auto shops). They do honest work, and I feel like the prices are very fair for the quality of service they provide. I highly recommend you check them out for your auto needs! Well I had the unfortunate experience of having to be told I would be better off putting a new engine in my truck, but that wasn’t before the guys at Grip went through everything with a fine tooth comb in a gallant attempt to figure out what was ailing my poor engine. I walked in unannounced and they took my truck in where it was with them for an entire week. While it was there I was given the privilege of driving around in one of their courtesy cars for that time so I could still get to work. They took apart the bottom of my truck, crankshaft bearings replaced, oil pump replaced, gaskets and seals replaced, calls made to GM, calls made to other area mechanics but to no avail. In the end it was determined the camshaft and bearings were kaput and it would be cheaper to put in another motor due to what was required to replace the camshaft.

Did they fix it? No, but they put their heart and soul into it trying to and the cost for a new engine drove me to purchase another vehicle instead. At the end of it all, they only charged me for the parts and no labour. My truck was there for an entire week being poured over by multiple mechanics and zero labour was charged. They couldn’t be fairer than that and any vehicle I own that requires work will always go to Grip Coquitlam.

Just a great experience from booking appointment until I left. Top notch service. It’s been awhile to get required service and then show up to my truck clean inside and out. Highly recommended.

I recently had significant repairs done on my truck. Grip Tire & Auto picked my truck up from my workplace and left a courtesy car for my use during the process. Ben and his amazing staff continue to offer the best customer service, constant communication, real-time diagnostics via email and transparency when it comes to cost and the priority of repairs.
